Protecting road traffic victims is a shared responsibility involving insurers, associations, and all stakeholders within the mobility and insurance ecosystem. The Charter of Road Traffic Victims’ Rights was established to promote common standards that ensure fairness, transparency, and effective protection for those affected by road traffic accidents, while strengthening cooperation within the Green Card System.

By joining the Charter, organizations formally commit to a set of principles and best practices aimed at improving the quality and consistency of claims handling and victim protection across borders. For insurers and corporate associations, this commitment reflects a clear awareness of the evolving expectations placed on the sector and a willingness to actively contribute to a more reliable and responsible system.

Participation in the Charter also means becoming part of an international network of entities that share a common vision: fostering efficient, lawful, and victim-centered compensation processes. Aligning with these principles helps reinforce trust in the system and supports a collective approach to safeguarding victims’ rights.

Organizations interested in learning more about the Charter or exploring the possibility of joining are invited to contact UCI – the Italian Central Office, which remains available to provide further information and guidance.
